Formed in 2023 as a refreshing moment of fun amidst an era of political movement, The Sneaker Caucus hosts Sneaker Day each year on Capitol Hill with special guests for Roundtable Discussions on Innovation, Footwear Design, Education, Footwear Jobs, Expanding Opportunities, and more.

Sneaker Day 2025 welcomed a record 125 House and Senate members and congressional staff to the Hill for impactful briefings from our special guest, the legendary NIKE designer Wilson Smith III, a masterfully curated shoe collection from The SneakerVangesT Sean Williams, Best Kicks on the Hill awards, meaningful conversations, and a day to celebrate the impact of sneakers on culture.

The Sneaker Caucus:

• Is not focused on legislative issues, but serves as a tool to strengthen ties in a fun way with Members of Congress and policymakers across the political spectrum.
• Provides a key opportunity for members of the footwear industry to connect with Members of Congress about the industry and its contribution to health, fitness, art, entertainment, and culture.
• Helps provide sneakers to children in need. FDRA and Soles4Souls partnered to form Soles4theDistrict, supporting students experiencing homelessness in DC.
